Daklak province with its capital Buon Ma Thuot is one of the five provinces in the Central Highlands, it covers an area of 13,062 square kilometers at an altitude of 500m above sea level. ......

The population of the province is 1.7 million, comprising over 40 ethnic groups

Daklak has a 200 km border with Cambodia and borders the provinces :Gia Lai, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, and Dak Nong.

By land we can drive from Buon Ma Thuot to Nha Trang (180 km via N R 26 ), to Dalat (210 km via N R 27 ), to Pleiku (190 km via N R 14 ), and to Hochiminh city (350 km via N R 14 ).
